G:nt (pronounced “gee-en-tee”) is a young rapper hailing from Tokushima prefecture on Shikoku. While he is primarily classified as a hip-hop artist, he takes a “genre-less” approach to music, and his songs are heavily inspired by emo, pop-punk and alternative rock. This extends to his vocals, in which he sings and lets out hoarse screams just as often as he raps.
He participated in the fourth season of Abema’s hip-hop audition show “RAP STAR Tanjou” in 2020, making it to the top 10. He released his first EP Deeper Luv Than Despair in 2019, and his first full-length album Baphomet’s Romance in 2020.
G:nt is a stylized version of his real name, Genta.
