Sharaku Kobayashi

Sharaku Kobayashi, the vocalist of visual kei band metronome and techno-pop duo FLOPPY, started this chiptune solo project in 2015. His solo work blends distinct Japanese melodies and aesthetics with sentimental vocals, and the kitschy and inorganic appeal of 8-bit sounds.

Eager to reach an international audience, Sharaku performed at the chiptune music event SQUARE SOUNDS in both 2015 and 2017, showcasing his unique take on the genre alongside a global cast of artists.
