Extreme metal band UNDEAD CORPORATION was formed in 2010 by Matsu "Shachou" Kensuke, then known as pinetree, and Hirano Yukimura. The latter was replaced in 2012 by the vocal duo of Akemi and Kubota Dougen. Their debut album O.D was released later the same year, and the groove metal-influenced Flash Back followed in 2015.

Between 2010 and 2016, UNDEAD CORPORATION produced a run of fifteen "Touhou Project" and "KanColle" arrange albums. Though most of these were in the melodic death metal style, they also include three albums of folk metal featuring shakuhachist Nakamura Masaki.
