Ziyoou-vachi

Ziyoou-vachi is a band hard to compare to any others. They take excess and genderfluidity to new heights, and deliver energetic and eccentric music to their fans. The band's name means "queen bee", and they're fast becoming one of Japan's most recognizable glam rock bands.

Lead vocalist Avu-chan can sing convincingly in both masculine and feminine voices. They and their sister, former drummer Ruri, are of African-American and Japanese descent. They signed to major label Sony Music in 2011.
