Aldious

Power metal band Aldious was formed in 2008 by vocalist RAMI and guitarist Yoshi. Despite early ties with fellow Osakans G∀LMET - bassist Sawa originally played in both bands - the group quickly distinguished themselves, playing old-school power metal in elegant evening gowns. They struck an important blow for the 'girls metal' movement in 2010 when their debut album Deep Exceed topped the Oricon Indies chart.

When ill health forced RAMI to quit in 2012, she was replaced by former idol Re:NO. Her tenure saw Aldious gradually diversify their sound, staying loyal to metal on their albums while taking a more commercial tact on singles like I Don't Like Me and die for you. The band also survived their split with label SPINNING, which included the loss of their imprint Bright Star Records, and they proved to be equally resilient in the face of various line-up changes.
