Kinoko Teikoku

Influenced by shoegaze and post-rock, but not confined by either, Kinoko Teikoku’s music offers everything from loud, ominous tracks filled with ringing feedback to upbeat, catchy indie rock. Frontwoman Sato’s powerful voice soars smoothly over the noise, adding a beautiful, serene feel to even the harshest songs.

Quickly gaining popularity on the indie scene in their home country, Kinoko Teikoku are also eager to spread their music around the world. They made their overseas debut in Canada as part of the Next Music from TOKYO tour in 2013 and were such a hit with the audience that they returned for another installment the very next year.
