Hailing from Hokkaido in Northern Japan, Galileo Galilei is considered one of Japan's most successful up-and-coming rock acts. Even though they have only been around for a few years, the quartet has managed to charm many listeners with their melodic rock music.

In 2011, the band received international attention as a movie based on their song Kanseitou was released in movie festivals in the United States and Great Britain.
