BAAL has a unique sound, which they describe as “Cybernetic Heavy Industrial Rock." It combines electronic, industrial and hard rock. On stage, led by female vocalist Utarou, BAAL tries to create an ambiance of loss in place and time with a dark overtone in their music.

The name BAAL comes from the Hebrew word which means “master” or “lord” because as their creator MIKITO expressed once in an interview, "BAAL is like a god to me, guiding my creative work, my expression and every aspect of my life."
