If you’re familiar with POLYSICS’s music it’s easy to hear the source of their inspiration. Frontman Hayashi has revealed that the band was formed out of his love and respect for Devo. With new wave roots and a punk rock attitude, POLYSICS please their fans with the most energetic live shows imaginable. Onstage they wear wild, futuristic costumes, use multiple languages—including English, Japanese and a made up alien language—while performing their very original mix of highly energetic, sometimes nervous music.

The band's name originates from the Korg Polysix which was the first synthesizer Hayashi owned.
