LM.C LIVE 2011 YAON de FEVER FEVER!!

A typhoon was approaching Tokyo on the 29th of May, severe wind and rain growing in intensity. Fans who looked forward to the one-man show were rewarded for their patience when they were finally allowed to enter the venue. LM.C's fifth anniversary live was originally planned for April 2nd, but had been postponed until this day because of the earthquake and tsunami. The fans hid all dressed up under their raincoats, waiting impatiently for live to begin.

The all-black stage was brightly decorated with green stars. Colourful lights beamed here and there. The stately looking Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall was a place that made history with numerous artists. LM.C was one of the artists, having made their first public performance there. The audience, buzzing with excitement, gave a big shout of joy after the opening song started playing. A masked performer, DENKI-MAN, appeared first. The other members appeared one after another, walking to their positions with NomNom on keyboard, SASSY on drums, mACKAz on bass, Aiji on guitar and maya on vocals. To the fans who suddenly cried out in utmost excitement, maya answered that he wanted more with a jump. Lights were cast upon him and he shouted out loud at the centre of the grey dome which was almost indistinguishable against the rainy clouds and dusking sky. All around, clapping could be heard.

"Let's go on endlessly beyond the sky!" The words were like a signal to start the music. Resounding sounds rose from the ground and the rain and clapping grew more intense with it. The fans kept headbanging, causing the hoods of their raincoats to slip off their heads. Rain fell on their hair, but they weren't bothered by it.

The song changed from Bell the CAT to Space Wannabiez. The fans were waving their arms to the lyrics. Most of them were women, but there were a few men. The fans who came from overseas were very excited, doing the same choreography over and over again, stretching out their arms and singing with the others. The fans jumped every time maya jumped, causing the ground to quake many times.

The lights that shone upon the audience seemed to excite them even further. Aiji and mACKAz led the fans in a series of shouts as they moved about on the stage. maya upped the fans' excitement further by saying, "Shout out, LM.C, shout out!" He waved his hands violently, not bothered by the strong green lights and rain that fell upon him. The audience's calls for maya and Aiji such as "I was waiting for you" or "I missed you" filled the whole hall.

After the long series of calls, the first speaker on the stage was maya. He said, "I can finally meet you! Are you ready to enjoy yourselves?! You must take off your raincoats! That's LM.C. We'll rock you! Are you okay?" A shout of joy rose with his words in the whole hall. maya seemed to think that that was not enough and he shouted, "Where's my Juliet?!" The audience answered maya's question loudly. The show had just begun, and they seemed to be enjoying it with all their hearts. maya said, "I can't hear you!" to which the audience replied with "yeah yeah yeah"s and "go go go"s.

After maya heard them, he said, "Let's begin a show filled with screaming tonight too!" He put his hands on shoulders of mACKAz and Aiji, traversing the stage from left to right while he was moved his hands left and right, front and back, up and down. The fans wore band merchandise on their arms, necks and fingers. Those uncountable arms stretched towards the stage, and maya answered, "Express your excitement boldly tonight in a loud voice!" The music became louder too, as if it tried to banish maya's voice.

DENKI-MAN cheered the crowd on, making them excited and giving them a stronger sense of togetherness. After the song OH MY JULIET. ended, the lights gave the stage subtle overtones. During Galileo, red, green and blue lights shone on the bassist and drummer. "Can you jump?! Jump, jump and jump!! Let me hear your voice more!" Bright and speedy, the hopeful DAYS began. When the bassist and guitarist harmonised, the fans sang along to the song.

"It'll be an unforgettable night. No, it must be with us. Is there a person who is already mentally tired?" The fans were smiling and some of them frankly raised their hands. maya went on talking about holding an open-air show in bad weather.

"You knew that you would have such an experience before you came, didn't you? What whimsical people you are. Or, maybe some of you guys really wanted to recover the ticket's price. Both ways are not wrong. Let's make an unforgettable night together! You play the leading roles. Surely you will understand that later. The rain is getting stronger than ever, but it means you and I must rock more, isn't it?"

In the next song CRAZY A GO GO, the fans did headbanging without their hoods, and the members carried on playing while shaking their bodies violently. "Are you well prepared for today's lessons?! A typhoon has come here, but let's go on freely!" maya ran around the drenched stage, kicked a puddle, and knelt in front of the audience, singing "come closer." Yellow light flashed like lightning in dense smoke, the drummer's bass tones sounding loudly.

maya got off the main stage and went to a small stage on its right, standing in front of brightly shining signs that read "LM.C." He got onto a mobile stage and was moved on a set of tracks that led from the stage through the audience to the centre of the hall. "I can see you all!" maya made the fans more and more excited while he was singing. The fans answered with waves of headbanging. They waved their arms vigorously and tried to express their feelings with a shout of joy. "Don't relax even if you're in the back! We're LM.C!" Red and white lights showered all the people. maya was drenched by the rain but he kept on headbanging. "We can go on further!"

The rain grew heavier. maya sang in a black outfit which contained lamé. The sun set and the sky changed its colour from grey to black. He stood under the dark sky, light beaming upon him. He pointed at Aiji. Aiji raised his guitar and strummed it loudly. Aiji and maya moved to the mobile stage in the centre, their enthusiasm totally different from what fans had even seen before.

One might have wondered if LM.C could pull off a live in such unfavourable weather conditions, but those worries were completely needless as evidenced by waves of headbanging here and there. Everyone sang with maya and shook their bodies with Aiji and the other members. Aiji played while exhaling white breath, his figure unforgettably strong and limber.

Fans watched with clear eyes as they stretched their arms and clapped their hands. Everyone was shrouded in white smoke. "Let's go on our fever!" Blue and red lights shone on the members who went back to the main stage. "It's good. You don't understand what's going on, do you? Then you can keep it that way. The typhoon loves LM.C, doesn't it?" The fans smiled warmly at his words, expressing their enjoyment. The rain slackened off, but didn't show any signs of stopping. No one had any complaints though.

The performance of the next song EDO FUNK was filled with surprise. The band invited fans who raised hands to go up on stage and dance. About twenty fans went up on stage, shedding tears of joy as they were brought to where the members were playing. The fans hugged and shook hands with one another even though they just met. The audience below were also excited and waved hands at the fans on the stage. Some of them had already taken off their raincoats. maya wore a happi coat and sang while urging the fans to dance.

"Let's make a fool of ourselves. SUPER DUPER GALAXY." The earth quaked. maya called stridently, raising his voice higher as if in an attempt to overpower the rain. The audience stretched their arms towards the stage and clapped for the fans who danced during the two songs. "Everybody sing with me. I suppose that you'll understand it later, but LM.C isn't only us. Because you and we are," maya said, adding that the performance was more beautiful in the rain. "Send your voices to people who can't come here because of various reasons, from the other side of the earth too!"

The lights were dimmed for a moment and the hall was filled with blue. The audience waved glow sticks that glittered brightly in the darkness. The introduction of 88 started. "Everybody sing it!" Green stars reflected beams of light. While 88 felt like a wish, meteorion sounded like a prayer. The drums boomed loudly, supported by the guitar and the bass.

Bokura no Mirai., a slow song, began. maya's back was showered with lights and a silhouette was formed. One could almost mistake that he was not the same vocalist who sang 88 with such gusto earlier. The fans immersed themselves in the seriousness of the song and tried to carve it upon their hearts.

"All you really need to know, you learned in visual kei, didn't you? I'll sing for the BOYS & GIRLS who couldn't come here!" The fans were filled with enthusiasm again. The rain was still falling, but everyone was learning what they really needed to know and what the LM.C members wanted to tell. A balloon was released into the sky the moment they began to play. maya changed the lyrics of the song and sang freely as the party still went on for him. Everyone was smiling as he shouted "boys, yeah!" or "sempai, yeah!" from the depths of his soul.

"It's a Wonderful Wonder World." maya raised his hand and introduced each of the members. The audience gave cheers each time, and everyone was smiling. The song was like a new promise. "Thank you for supporting us always. Thank you for coming today too." All the band members gathered at the centre of the stage, and at last the performers launched tapes with bazookas. The song was finished, and the fans cheered loudly for the members.

"Five years. It was great. We experienced so much. And we will have a ZEPP tour next summer. There are new songs that have yet to be released. I feel that these things will lead us into the future. Please continue supporting me." maya looked back upon the five years he lived as a member of LM.C. He was on the verge of tears, and his voice broke. "Various things happened. I can't find the words, but some people said that my life as a vocalist would be short, and I heard that another vocalist was more suitable than me for this band. My purpose is not to get a long life as an artist, but I just want you to have fun. That's what matters most to me. I have been a vocalist for five years, and everybody is smiling, so it's about time. I haven't even told my parents yet."

The audience fell hush in order not to miss a single word maya said. An oppressive silence and tension grew, and maya finally shouted, "After this tour ends, we'll hold a show at Nippon Budokan on the 8th of January, 2012!" The audience shook with crying, and they were relieved. Clapping and cheerful voices arose from them.

"After five years, I thought I was changed. At first, we did what was fun for us. I had no idea whom I should sing for. I didn't believe in anybody. But I visited various countries, and I made friends with various people. Now I think I'll stand on the stage even if just one person came. I think that a happy future is waiting for us." Applause, crying, smiles and tears — the hall was filled with a lot of hope.

"A new song will be released on the 27th of July. We made it with your voices. Hoshi no Arika." The song was decided as the theme song of the anime "Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan," which begins in July. The fans smiled unconsciously for the members who sang together. Everyone had fun with them. maya waved his arms as he sang the song. The announcement of the show at Nippon Budokan was projected on the stage, and the next song was PUNKY ♥ HEART. It was an exciting song, and everyone jumped again and again.

maya then introduced the first-ever song of LM.C, ☆Rock the LM.C☆. Everyone knew that the show would end soon. "Let's go to the last song! We have no encore songs! Let's make LM.C's future from this hall!" The fans began to headbang violently to release everything. "I'll bring you to the future, so you must rock on more and more! Our future is the best, this show the best, Japan is the best, and you're the best! Everybody, you all were shining. Thank you!" maya finished the song with a jump. Applause arose and the audience called his name.

At the very end, the band members threw candies to the audience and took pictures. This show was filled with a lot of happy thoughts. Aiji expressed his gratitude to the fans, saying that LM.C would never have made it to the Budokan if not for the support of the fans. As he looked back upon the last five years, he told them that he wanted to continue being a member of LM.C. With Aiji's words, maya also expressed his gratitude, pouring out his feelings one by one, and sharing about their future.

At the Nippon Budokan concert on the 8th of January, 2012, LM.C is sure to bring forth even more excitement and surprises to all their fans. The concert is titled ~Go To The 5th Anniversary FINAL~ ★Rock the PARTY★2012 and it is planned as the final show of their fifth anniversary since their debut.
