Akasaka Blitz was crammed with fans of DaizyStripper on the 13th of December. Before the concert, classical music was played in the venue, and as soon as it got louder the crowd started clapping their hands and the band appeared on the stage.
The quiet intro of Shinkisai Vivid from the new mini-album THE BEAUTY was heard and the hall was lit by all the colors of the rainbow. During the chorus, both guitarists jumped on the platforms with the fans waving their hands. Mayu performed an amazing solo while Rei came to the front of the stage and Yu-giri cuddled him; Rei then kissed the vocalist on his cheek. The bright Shinkisai Vivid gave way to the heavy Jiiteki Showtime. Mayu, Rei and Nao came to the very front of the stage. The bassist warmed up the crowd and everyone jumped around in response. The song ended with the fans and band members headbanging.
During the short МС, the vocalist greeted the fans and said that it was the last live of the year and that they had to have fun together. Then he announced the following song, TRUTH. The crowd sang along with the band and Rei and Nao danced to the cheerful beat of the song. Afterwards, Mayu played an upbeat intro and the heavy chords of #13 followed. The sound of violins were heard and the light turned from white to dark blue, creating a special atmosphere in the hall. In the beginning of Lyrical Night, Yu-giri moved his hips alluringly. Then the positive melody mixed with the deep sound of a saxophone started. Rei jumped onto the platform and he and Yu-giri imitated a kiss. Nao sang along with the vocalist and the fans cheered.
Yu-giri performed Tsumi na batsu and danced on the platform. The guitarists spun with their instruments on the stage, and the fans repeated their movements. After a small break, BLACK DROPPer followed. The lights turned from green to red, and the band members moved around the stage and headbanged to the heavy sound of the song. During the second МС, Yu-giri got both the first and second floors to scream in turn. He said that the year 2009 was very difficult as a lot of time had been spent in the studio while recording new material; he thanked the fans for their support of DaizyStripper. Then a tomtom and chairs were brought to the stage and the band performed an acoustic version of Rude Boy.
Played by Kazami on an accordion, the familiar strains of Jingle Bells were heard. The vocalist jumped on the stage, asking the crowd if they were enjoying the night. A basket was brought to the stage and Yu-giri explained the game's rules to the fans: "We throw balls to you, and you catch them. Get it? If you don't catch any, you're a looooser!" Winners were invited to the stage to sing X’mas song together with DaizyStripper. It was evident that the fans felt a bit embarrassed to share the same stage with their favorite band. Nonetheless, the vocalist cheered them on and offered his microphone so that everyone could sing a couple of phrases from the song. Yu-giri finished X’mas song with the words "Thank you very much! And Merry Christmas!"
The fans left the stage to Baby Kingdom, which turned into the beautiful intro of Farewell Line. The vocalist showed the furitsuke to the crowd and they waved their hands enthusiastically. The following composition, Nanairo no hanataba wo, was just as sensual. The hall turned yellow and green and Yu-giri urged the fans to clap their hands to the rhythm of the song. Then, towards the end, he took a bunch of flowers and threw them to the crowd. Nanairo no hanataba wo was followed by another МС, after which Setsurenka started. The first verse was performed only by Mayu on an acoustic guitar, Kazami - who had replaced the drum set with a keyboard - and Yu-giri with his quiet and gentle voice. Then the rest band members joined in and made this composition heavier.
The slow Setsurenka was followed by more cheerful Hoshizora to kimi no te, and it set the hall to the action. The fans waved their hands happily, with Mayu performing a standout solo. "Dearest!" Yu-giri announced, during which the fans jumped and sang the chorus with the vocalist. Mayu and Nao played at the middle of the stage. The piano melody flooded the venue but soon was cut off by the heavy chords of MR.UNCHAIN. Rei played at the front of the stage and cheered on the crowd, and they all headbanged together. During this song, it became really hot in the hall, and Yu-giri poured water over the fans. For the next МС, the vocalist decided to split the audience into men and women, and have them scream in turns. From the joyful screams, it was easy to see that there were more girls in the hall than guys.
"The last song!" - with these words, Little Ballerina started. The crowd and the band members headbanged and jumped to the chorus. Between the verses, Nao performed a breathtaking solo on the vocalist's platform and threw picks to the crowd. The last chords and thanks from Yu-giri followed. The musicians left the stage to the applause of the fans. The audience did not stop calling for an encore and the band did not keep them waiting. DaizyStripper's live was on the 13th of December, and it was hide's birthday as well and the band remembered this. Therefore, they began to play MISERY. Silence filled the venue as the audience watched, enraptured; feathers were falling to the stage. It was a very sensual performance that Yu-giri finished by calling out, "Happy Birthday!" The following song, Dandelion, was performed with the band members standing at the front of the stage and smiling to the fans. The vocalist pretended not to hear the crowd, so they shouted "Hey! Hey! Hey!" and sang the chorus for him as loudly as they could.
Afterwards, Yu-giri said: "Hey! The following song will be really the last one for today! By the way, our new single will be available on the 3rd of March! Are you happy? And are you happy to be at this one-man? I promise DaizyStripper will keep on rocking next year!"
The venue was bathed in the colors of the rainbow and the band performed decade, which drove everyone into frenzy! The fans rushed to and fro, Rei came up to Yu-giri and the vocalist embraced him. He took a pick from the bassist, made him kiss it and threw to the crowd. Everyone on stage was changing positions - Rei was playing near Kazami, Nao came up to the vocalist and kissed him, and then Yu-giri swooned in a semi-unconscious state from the overabundance of the feelings. Having thanked the audience and thrown all the feathers from the stage to the crowd, the band members joined their hands and jumped on the count five. The fans did the same. In that way, DaizyStripper's live at Akasaka Blitz was over. They had proved once again that despite their youth, they have a great future ahead!
