On October 26th, HYDE closed the Japanese chapter of his "HYDE [INSIDE] LIVE 2025 WORLD TOUR" at Makuhari Messe with a monumental show blending Halloween energy, raw emotion and breathtaking theatrics.
The air in Makuhari Messe on October 26th was thick with more than just anticipation; it was a hybrid of Halloween excitement and the solemn understanding that this was the end of an era. This was the domestic final for the HYDE [INSIDE] LIVE 2025 WORLD TOUR, a two-year culmination of the "Dynamic" concept built around the HYDE
[INSIDE] album. Drawing a combined 24,000 people over two days, this show was a final, cathartic explosion before HYDE pivots to his "Static" phase. This wasn't just a concert; it was a promise of "the ultimate chaos".
The venue itself felt like a festival, a throwback to HYDE's beloved HALLOWEEN PARTY events. The hall was adorned with Halloween decorations, featuring hospitality booths for food, face painting and hair styling. The diverse ticket options: from gender-separated moshpits to family benches and seated areas, ensured every fan could experience the chaos their own way.
The Main Event:
Unleashing the Beast
After 5:10 PM (16:60), the lights dropped. A digital clock on screen counted down from 6:60, landing eventually on "666", while haunted noises and red lights filled the venue halls and a circus-like announcement was made. The band members:
keyboardist hico, guitarists Yas Nomura and Julian, drummer Shuntaro Kado and bassist Tomohiro Miki, took their positions. A massive, 3-meter-tall podium stood at the center of the stage, and the band members enticed the crowd with their
red eyes and monster-like movements.
As the excitement reached its peak, HYDE appeared last, hooded and his face obscured by a silver mask. He received cheers from the fans and began the “circus” performance with LET
IT OUT. His voice, a commanding low register, filled the hall before he descended to the stage, screaming, "Are you ready? Makuhari!". This led directly into the frantic energy of AFTER
LIGHT and I GOT 666, where the crowd's chorus became an essential part of the sound.
The band members were unleashed by the energy of the fans, rocking their instruments. During the opening songs, drummer Shuntaro Kado suddenly leapt from his kit to run to the front of the stage. During DEFEAT, keyboardist
hico did the same. It was during this song, amid pillars of flame, that HYDE finally tore off his mask, revealing his sharp gaze to a roar from the crowd.
"Welcome to the Japan final!" he yelled. "Show me the ultimate chaos! We can't end this until we're both broken!".
The set list was a masterclass in HYDE's history. He shocked the audience with COUNTDOWN, a heavy rock tune from his 2005 era. His vocal delivery, now more powerful and nuanced, gave the 20-year-old song a new, pressing urgency. The "Demon Slayer" theme songs were seamlessly integrated: the racing Mugen and the profound Tokoshie. For the latter, HYDE donned a stunning military cap studded with crystals.
A major highlight was the cover of Linkin Park's FAINT. Here, keyboardist hico stepped up, impressively singing the rap parts and engaging in a fiery twin-vocal battle with HYDE.
The Descent into Chaos
The show's intensity only escalated. For 6or9, HYDE instructed the entire arena to sit down. On his "3, 2, 1, JUMP!" command, Makuhari Messe erupted. As fans waved towels, HYDE descended from the stage and plunged into the sea
of people, being lifted and carried by the crowd as he sang.
He returned for MAD
QUALIA, only to immediately go back to the barrier to sing inches from his fans. This was followed by SOCIAL VIRUS, perhaps the most brutal track from the album. HYDE unleashed an inhuman growl as massive wall-of-death pits formed in the
crowd.
The main set's climax was a piece of breathtaking theater. During MIDNIGHT CELEBRATION
II, HYDE poured a bottle of fake blood over his head. He staggered across the stage, a wounded beast, before finally collapsing.
As he lay on the ground,
hico's haunting piano intro began for LAST SONG. HYDE began to sing from the floor. In response, fans spontaneously turned on their smartphone lights, transforming the dark arena into a brilliant "starry
sky". It was a visibly emotional moment; HYDE covered his blood-streaked face, his voice catching as he was momentarily overcome. He rose for a final, desperate shout as a rain of red confetti fell, covering him and the stage as the curtain
closed.
The encore shattered the previous dramatic tension with pure fun. First, a float carrying the drummer and his drum kit appeared, moving through the crowd. He was soon joined by floats carrying the other band members coming from opposite sides
of the venue, which converged into a sub-stage in the center of the arena for a thrilling instrumental session. Fans were amazed at the scenery in front of them, as the members were in Halloween mode, which matched the purple stripes on the mini stages
and the pumpkin designs on the drum set.
Then, the iconic "Halloween King" skull hat HYDE wears in the MV of HALLOWEEN PARTY flew from the main stage over surprised fans and landed on a box on the sub-stage. The box opened, and HYDE himself emerged in full Halloween King regalia, including a normal-sized version of the previous flying hat. The arena erupted in joy for
HALLOWEEN PARTY and PANDORA.
HYDE and the band then walked back to the main stage, throwing candy into the crowd while fans cheered.
Back on the main stage and now bare-chested, HYDE launched into the VAMPS song AHEAD. Before the end, he spoke to the fans with raw gratitude.
"Thank you for understanding me even though I just do whatever I want," he said.
With a final command to "Leave no regrets! Burn your lives!", he unleashed the final trifecta: GLAMOROUS SKY, which saw him dive into the crowd one last time, BLOODSUCKERS, and the ultimate party anthem for his fans, SEX BLOOD ROCK N’ ROLL, in
which guitarist Julian did the iconic guitar twirl.
As he left after a euphoric farewell to the fans, the screens lit up with a final surprise: a new album, JEKYLL, is coming in Spring 2026. This will be the long-awaited sequel to ROENTGEN, and it will be celebrated by the HYDE
Orchestra Tour 2026 JEKYLL, starting in January 2026. As the chaos era ends, a new future lights up for HYDE.
While the Japan final has concluded, the "ultimate chaos" is far from over. The HYDE [INSIDE] LIVE 2025 WORLD TOURwill be heading overseas next for its European leg, kicking off in Paris, France on November 14th. With four dates scheduled across Europe, this is the final chance for fans to witness this era of HYDE's work live. Tickets and full tour information can be found on HYDE's official website.
