Ling tosite sigure, a trio consisting of TK on vocals and guitar, 345 on bass and vocals and Pierre on drums, has now been active for 20 years. The band's sound is a mix of post-hardcore and progressive rock, with some of its main appeals being fast changes in the rhythm and feeling of the songs and the members' ability to envelop the listeners with exquisite drumming and guitar riffs. Another important trait of their music is the fact that it features both male and female vocals, with both providing a myriad of sounds ranging from softer singing to powerful screams. To attend one of their live performances is to embark on a fun and electric sensorial ride you never want to come down from.

As smoke filled Zepp Haneda, the members took the stage, all wearing black tour t-shirts featuring the band's name written on them. Fans clapped energetically, putting extra enthusiasm into it because of the COVID-19 protocols. People in attendance could not scream or talk during the live, so their energy was mostly transmitted to the band through applause and other body movements.

Missing ling opened their set. Performed under blue and purple lights, the fan favorite told a story. A feeling of despair came from the song, but softer white spotlights provided calm during the storm brought by their powerful sound. Next was laser beamer, a song that's part of the stage play series "PSYCHO-PASS The Stage Virtue and Vice". Lime green lasers signalled its start, with red lasers that vibrated to the rhythm joining in later. The bass took center stage as the lights danced and flickered nonstop.

TK greeted the audience for the first time then. The fans clapped cheerfully and the band quickly moved into abnormalize, the first opening of the anime series "PSYCHO-PASS". A strong guitar riff intro took the spotlight while the lights left the band members in shadow until the song kicked off in earnest. Fans clapped to the rhythm and the lights flashed nonstop until the rapid ride came to a sudden halt. The fourth song of the night, JPOP Xfile, was opened by the drums, which continued to guide it along under the yellow and blue lights.

DISCO FLIGHT and a 7days wonder had fans raising their arms and jumping to the beat along with perfectly synchronized lightning. The seventh song, a symmetry, was anything but symmetrical. It featured aggressive screaming and shouting, with an explosive outburst near the song's conclusion that demonstrated TK's vocal range. Next came Serial Number Of Turbo, an acoustic-driven song where TK’s falsetto highlighted the raw essence of the music. During illusion is mine, the venue was filled with blue and purple lights, giving the audience a feeling of being underwater. Fans punched the air to show their excitement for the song as the soft yet powerful female vocals added shape to the music.

During the second MC drummer Pierre greeted the audience. He thanked everyone for their support as he shared tour stories and hyped the audience up for the next songs to come. The songs Beautiful Circus, Souzou no Security and Hakai Yono Yume seemed to seamlessly connect with one another as fans fist pumped nonstop while jumping. Telecastic fake show had fans bouncing to the chant of “time revolution” while green and orange lights moved to the beat and TK and 345's vocals shone through.

Calm returned to the stage after the eclectic showcase as 345 introduced herself, thanking the fans for attending and highlighting the band's newest tour goods. The exchange between the members and audience was fun and surely made some fans want to purchase the novelty items on their way out, if they hadn’t already. Following this interaction, a song featuring the numbers from the bassist's name in its title, am3:45, showcased her abilities.

To end the show, the sound of an old router connecting to the internet served as the intro for the band's latest digital single Tatsumaite Sennou. Both vocalists took center stage, as red and white lights moved erratically yet still following the beat. The band left the stage after the exciting song, and it was clear that the fans were already looking forward to the next show.

Fans overseas will have an opportunity to check out the atmosphere from this tour as well, as Ling tosite sigure will be streaming footage from its date held at Zepp Sapporo in Hokkaido on June 26th via ZAIKO on August 5th at 21:00 (JST). An archive of the stream will also be available for ticket holders to watch until 23:59 (JST) on August 8th. Tickets for the stream are available for purchase here.
