2013

On 3rd February 2013 during a live on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Hello! Project the producer Tsunku announced a new idol unit and its members, selected from Hello! Pro Kenshuusei. The group remained without a name until 25th February 2013 and the producer announced that the line-up could change in the future.

Five of the six founding members came from Hello! Pro Kenshuusei, only Miyazaki Yuka had her debut in the group SATOYAMA movement after she failed an audition for S/mileage. Beside her work for Juice=Juice she is still active for that group. During release event for the single Ten Made Nobore!, a collaboration single with Hello!Pro Kenshuusei, the debut of Juice=Juice was announced. On 2nd March 2013 the idol unit made its debut at the Hinamatsuri Festival 2013 at Pacifico Yokohama with its first indie single Watashi ga Iu Mae ni Dakishimenakya ne.

On 5th July 2013, Hello! Project announced on its website that Otsuka Aina would leave Hello! Project and the idol group Juice=Juice. It was said that her family did not agree with the contract. The group continued with five members.

On 11th September 2013 the first major single Romance no Tochuu was released. It was a triple A-side single with a new song and new versions of the first two singles. This single sold 38,000 copies and was the bestselling debut single of all Hello!Project groups, including Berryz Koubou, °C-ute and S/mileage. Miyazaki Yuka became leader of the group and Kanazawa Tomoko sub-leader. In October and November Juice=Juice toured together with Berryz Koubou, Naruchika 2013 Aki Berryz Koubou x Juice=Juice. On 4th December 2013 the second single Ijiwaru Shinai de Dakishimete yo / Hajimete wo Keiken Chuu was released.

2014

In February 2014 the group released its first photobook "Juice=Juice 1st OFFICIAL PHOTO BOOK". On 19th March 2014 the third single Hadaka no Hadaka no Hadaka no KISS / Are Kore Shitai! was released. Also in March 2014, Juice=Juice started its first tour, Juice=Juice First Live Tour 2014~2015 News=News ~Kakuchi yori Otodoke Shimasu!~, that ran until April 2015.

On 21st March 2014 the first one-man-live of Juice=Juice was announced. On 30th July 2014 the fourth single Black Butterfly/Kaze ni Fukarete was released followed by the fifth single, Senobi / Datejyanainoyo Uchi no Jinsei wa, on 1st October 2014. A mini-album of the theatrical play by Juice=Juice at Kinokuniya Southern Theater in November 2014 was released with the title Engeki Joshi Bu "Musical Koisuru Hello Kitty" Original Mini Album on 24th December 2014.

2015

The sixth single Wonderful World / Ça va ? Ça va ?, released on 8th April 2015, was a big success reaching 1st place in the Oricon charts and their first album was announced for July 2015, titled First Squeeze!. Juice=Juice becomes the second Hello! Project group, after Morning Musume, to have a 1st place in the Oricon charts.

2016

The members of Juice=Juice were cast in the drama "Budokan" that was broadcast on the Japanese TV station Fuji TV at the beginning of 2016. The title song could be found on the single Next is You! / Karada Dake ga Otona ni Nattan ja nai which was released on 3rd February 2016. It was the new best-selling single of the group. In November 2016 the group performed at the Nippon Budokan.

2017

On 12th April 2017 the idol unit announced that it would have its first world tour, LIVE AROUND 2017, appearing in seven countries; United States, Great Britain, France, Germany, Mexico, Thailand and Malaysia.
