THE E-BA

When the earth shook in the Touhoku region on March 11, 2011 and the whole area was ruined by a giant tsunami afterwards, the idea for the band Jp Heart Sutra Project was born. The three musicians Kengo Koyama (Fender bass), Toshihide "104" Okamoto (electronic guitar, GR-300 & GR-System, electric sitar as well as programming) and Ken-ichiro Kishi (drums, percussion, acoustic guitar, and programming) gathered exactly two years after the calamity with the goal to pray for world peace with their music. They are supported by the Buddhist Showgen Gotoh, who provides the strong mantras for their music.

Within a very short period THE E-BA was able to gather a huge fan base. Day and night they are writing new songs. Until their first release, the EP Jp Heart Sutra "Hannya Shingyo" Complete Ver1.0, not much time went by. Eleven days after their foundation the EP was released as digital download in 111 nations. Due to the digital distribution their degree of familiarity and their message will grow even more in the future.
