ENDLICHERI☆ENDLICHERI

ENDLICHERI☆ENDLICHERI, which later became 244 ENDLI-x, was the name Domoto Tsuyoshi’s solo project took on in 2006. Its music was typically pop-rock, mixed with influences from genres such as jazz, blues and funk.

Domoto Tsuyoshi, born April 10, 1979 in Nara, is best known as one half of Johnny’s Entertainment duo KinKi Kids. However, in 2002, he also began a successful solo career.

In 2006, Tsuyoshi renamed his solo project ENDLICHERI☆ENDLICHERI. The name was taken from a type of fish, which was unsurprising to many fans, as Tsuyoshi often references his love for fish and has confessed to having a room filled with aquariums. His first single as ENDLICHERI☆ENDLICHERI, Someiyoshino, quickly climbed to the number one spot on the Oricon charts, and the project’s first album, Coward, did the same, starting it off with impressive momentum.

After more successful releases, 2008 brought a sudden name change to 244 ENDLI-x (“Tsuyoshi Endlix”). This turned out to be just as short-lived as, after releasing an album, a single and a DVD under that name, Tsuyoshi switched over to an alternate spelling of his given name in 2009, becoming simply “Tsuyoshi.”

Despite all these changes, he has remained very popular and continues to produce exciting, emotional pop music.
