Visual kei band THE MICRO HEAD 4N’S has attracted much attention in a very short period of time — mostly because of their well-known and very experienced members.
Visual kei band THE MICRO HEAD 4N’S was formed on August 24, 2011 by some very distinguished musicians. The impressive line-up comprises of vocalist Ricky (DASEIN, RIDER CHIPS), guitarists Kazuya and SHUN. (both formerly of FANATIC◇CRISIS) and former D’espairsRay rhythm section, bassist ZERO and drummer TSUKASA.
Despite being formed in August, THE MICRO HEAD 4N’S’s activities did not start until the beginning of December when they debuted at the visual kei event stylish wave GENERATION. The event was held in Shibuya O-EAST and the band performed alongside DaizyStripper, LM.C and PENICILLIN.
Their schedule for 2012 was dominated by self-sponsored events, such as the sold-out MONSTER’S ROAR Volumes at Shibuya WOMB. They also put in appearances at various visual kei events, including stylish wave CIRCUIT ’12 Haru no Arashi.
On July 31st, just one day before the release of their very first album A BEGINNING FROM THE END., the quintet held the event A BEGINNING FROM THE END. -Episode:0- at Shibuya BOXX. Highly excited fans were able to purchase the album at that live. With the release of this album, also released digitally in Europe via Bishi-Bishi on the same day, THE MICRO HEAD 4N'S decided to hold their first one-man tour in Japan. The tour, entitled A BEGINNING FROM THE END. -second act-, started in August and consisted of three lives in total.
In addition to their one-man tour, THE MICRO HEAD 4N’S played at V-Love☆Live Vol.2 and, in September, participated in defspiral’s self-organized event defspiral presents "Beauty and Beast" Vol.5. Meanwhile, their debut album became available to European fans in physical form. From October to December, the band went out on tour once again.
THE MICRO HEAD 4N'S kicked off 2013 by participating at VISULOG 2nd ANNIVERSARY "LIVE AT Shinjuku BLAZE" on January 27. In February, the band embarked on The WORLD of LIGHT EUROPEAN TOUR 2013, which saw them play lives in Russia, Finland, Poland and Germany. A number of lives in Japan followed.
Afterwards, the band began recording their second album, -REVERBERATIONS-, which came out on July 10th together with their first live DVD. The DVD contained material of their first anniversary live at Shibuya Club Quattro. Meanwhile THE MICRO HEAD 4N'S performed various lives in support of the new release. Elsewhere, SHUN and ZERO launched the web radio program "Maifo Channel" and together with TSUKASA some special events called DJnight. In August, the band released THE MICRO HEAD 4N'S Documents 2013, their first documentary DVD, which granted viewers a deeper insight into the band members’ thoughts and also featured some exclusive footage of their first European trip. On November 1st, they kicked off their EVOKE A RESPONCE tour at Sapporo COLONY.
2014 started with the EARNEST GAMES tour, which consisted of five one-man lives over five consecutive months. The first concert was for the THE MICRO HEAD 4N'S fan club, but the other four EARNEST GAMES shows each had a special theme. For example, the third concert, held on March 17th at Shibuya O-WEST was dedicated to drummer TSUKASA, who took the opportunity to announce his plans to pursue a solo career as an enka singer, parallel to his activities with THE MICRO HEAD 4N'S. With the final one-man on May 30th, the band released its first single EARNEST GAME.
Only a few weeks after the single release, TSUKASA premiered as an enka singer at 2014 Handa Koji Friendly Concert on June 8th. The band has also recorded another single, slated for release July 30th. Together with the release message, THE MICRO HEAD 4N'S announced a few in-store events and their plans for their forthcoming third anniversary tour.
THE MICRO HEAD 4N'S has attracted a great deal of attention thanks to their line-up’s distinguished careers. Only time will tell if they can meet the high expectations.
