OTOKAGE debuted in 2007 when Lee Oushinji decided to create a band. He then recruited four members, and became the singer and leader of the band, while HITT Suzumura joined as the bassist, Onimaru Musashibou as the guitarist, Kohinata Sosuke on drums and finally Ikumaro on keyboards.

OTOKAGE held their first concert at Ikebukuro CYBER on the November 29, 2007. To help promote the group, they distributed 500 copies of their CD entitled Otokage kuji/ Omatsuri ninja at the concert.

On the July 16, 2008, their first single Ninpo rambu no jutsu/ Iroha koi uta was released, and all copies were sold within a month of its release. The following day OTOKAGE took part in their first festival entitled Utage no jin at Ikebukuro CYBER. Unfortunately, the keyboardist, Ikumaro, decided to leave the group just three days before the concert.

In August 2008 OTOKAGE held a concert at the CHOKKANA event during the Comic-Market where 2,500 people attended, and a month later, the band gave their first one-man concert Kessen! Cyber toride no tatakai again at CYBER, which sold out.

They released their second single in November 2008, asura, which was widely available in visual kei shops. Their third single, Hyakunen yozokura ninpo cho, was released the same month.

In April 2009, they were invited to several events in many countries, as well as having the opportunity to give a concert at the Tekkoshocon VII convention in Pittsburgh, USA, and also at the Sakura Matsuri in Philadehpia, USA. The group also took part in Festival Emergenza which they were invited to in France, Germany and the Netherlands while at the same time completing their first world tour.

HITT announced his departure from the group on the 13th of May 2009, in order to concentrate on his solo career. His last concert with OTOKAGE was held on the 14th of July. On August 17 Sazanami Ryotaro joined OTOKAGE as their new guitarist, and in November, Seiya Moroboshi took up the role of bassist.
