Tegomass

Formed in 2006, Tegomass launched their career with their first single, Miso Soup on November 11th in Sweden. Building up the hype internationally, the unit visited the country in a four day promotional tour. They were interviewed for newspapers and television before holding a concert and instore event. One month later, Miso Soup was released in Japan and quickly climbed to #1 on the Oricon music charts, giving the band national attention in their home country.

It was quiet over the next few months for Tegomass as the members resumed their activies in NEWS, but by the spring of 2007, the unit had sprung back into action with their second single, Kiss ~Kaerimichi no Love Song~. Both tracks off the single were a hit, and subsequently were used as the opening and closing theme songs for the anime "Lovely Complex."

It was nearly a full year before Tegomass' next activity but their popularity hadn't wavered, as the next single, Ai Ai Gasa reached #1 on Oricon and was made the ending theme for the anime "Neo Angelique Abyss."

In May 2009, Tegomass surprised Swedish fans, announcing their intention to return to Stockholm for a meet and greet and concert at the end of the month. Unfortunately, due to the swine flu outbreak, the unit canceled their appearance and have not rescheduled.

Their next releases, including their first full album, Tegomass no uta are scheduled to hit store shelves in July. With Tegomass back on a roll, fans eagerly wait to see what the band plans to do next.
