Previously, Ryo Fujimura was best known for being the leader, guitarist and songwriter of the band AciD FlavoR. The band appeared in Europe several times during 2008, even performing at the Japan Expo in France.

However, also in 2008, Ryo started a solo project called Concrete (the name stemming from the fact that it was to be the base of his artistic work). His first maxi-single, Concrete 0.1, was released exclusively in Europe on the 30th of October. The single consisted of instrumental tracks only.

His second single, Concrete 0.2, went on sale on February 1, 2009. This single did include vocals, namely Ryo's own. This release was followed by a tour of several countries, including Belgium, France, the UK, Switzerland and Greece. He led many projects in Japan as well, including the visual kei band Syuten. The same year also saw Ryo play guitar on the album Signal for a group made up of voice actors from the anime “Goulart Knights” called G-Addict. It was released in December.

In 2010, Ryo wrote KUON, the theme song to the PSP game “Miyako.” Unfortunately, AciD FlavoR also disbanded that year. With the loss of his band, Ryo redoubled his efforts on his solo career, releasing the mini-album Artifice in February 2011. To support it, he embarked on his third and fourth European solo tours that spring and summer, which included a stop at the Abunai! convention in the Netherlands. He also performed in Mexico that October. On December 25, 2011, Ryo released the album Life is interesting, his first available for purchase on iTunes.

2012 was another busy year for Ryo, as he formed the band Rights in Corrosion, which played its first concert in August at Ikebukuro CHOP. He also returned to Mexico for his third solo tour of the country, appearing at events such as Shiroitsuki Fest and J'Fest 3 in the fall.

Ryo's previous band, AciD FlavoR, reunited for a show on February 2, 2013, but he made it clear that it was just a one-time event. He is currently juggling his solo activities and another new band called RUTEN. Ryo also continues to make a strong effort to connect with his fans, who he affectionately refers to as "Freaks." To keep his international following up to date on his activities, he posts English status updates on both his Facebook and Twitter.

Creative, spontaneous and seemingly fearless when it comes to reaching out to new fans around the world, Ryo Fujimura is a promising artist to watch out for in the future.
