v[NEU]’s origins began as early as 2005 with HeaRt, under the LOOP ASH indie label, which consisted of Jun as vocalist, Nono on guitar, Hixro on bass and ЯeI on drums. and previous members, YUKI and Subaru on drums and guitar, respectively.

Between 2005 and up to late 2006/early 2007, HeaRt released a total of five singles and gained marginal popularity among fans. In early 2007, all members but Hixro and ЯeI left HeaRt. After gaining new members with Mitsu on vocals and Takumi and Kuyu on guitar, HeaRt decided on a fresh image by renaming themselves as v[NEU].

The year 2007 encompassed a lot for the newly-established v[NEU], with the alteration to their lineup and name, as well as the release of their first full-length album NEvERLAND later that year. v[NEU]’s full discography includes a steady release of nine singles, two full-length studio albums and three compilation albums within the span of approximately three years. LIMIT, the second full-length studio album is v[NEU]’s latest expedition, being just released in April 2010. The release of LIMIT ran parallel with v[NEU]’s fresh, new image as each member presents themselves as brighter and more intriguing to fans than before.
