All four of the girls making up Thee 50's High Teens were born and reside in the Fukuoka prefecture of Kyushu (southwest Japan). While lead singer Tomo founded the band when she was only sixteen years old, the line-up has consistantly changed over the years.

November 1998 marked the first big activity for Thee 50's High Teens when they held their first live event. Over the next few years, the band continued to tour and by 2003 released their first self titled album. Within one year, they released Punch De Beat, their second full length release.

The band began attracting overseas attention and by 2004 the toured Europe, making almost a dozen stops throughout Germany and Belgium. While the band's activity dwindled as time passed, the girls were back full swing in 2006, released two full length live albums.

In 2008, Thee 50's High Teens toured the USA for the first time with The Captains, and made a US release of their popular second album through the label Tokyo No Records.

While the girls have been quiet in the recent months, fans are anxiously awaiting to hear what the band plans to do next!
