Bergerac was formed in 2004 with vocalist Itsuki, guitarists Satsuki (ex-Risky vice)and Migushi (ex-La via), Kyosuke (ex-La via) on bass, and drummer Yuu.

Throughout 2004 and 2005, Bergerac was a fixture in the visual kei live house scene, frequenting hot spots like Urawa Narciss, Holiday Shinjuku, Takadanobaba Area, and Meguro Rokumeikan. At the end of 2005, bassist Kyosuke left, and in 2006, the band's first maxi-single, Suisai to ryuuseigun, went on sale. In March, bassist Tatsuha (ex-tsukisaya) joined, at first as a support member. Two months later, guitarist Migushi left and Kazuki (ex-MerCurious) replaced him in May.

The following year saw several great successes for the band: to start off the year, they had their first one-man live. Their maxi-single Primary reached 8th place on the Oricon indies chart, and four months later their single Yume ni mau, kimi no sugata reached 6th. To top it off, in November the band had their third solo show.

2007 was not without more band member changes though. In May Yuu left and was replaced by Iru (ex-Die La'vice) in June. Kazuki left in November, resulting in the band's current line-up: vocalist Itsuki, Satsuki on guitar, bass player Tatsuha, and Iru on drums.

Despite changes in the line-up, Bergerac maintained their pace, and 2008 proved to be another successful year for the group. In January they released their first live DVD and in March their new maxi-single AMETHYST went on sale. This one was a hit as well, reaching 18th on the charts. The band played a one-man show spiritual overdrive, on May 10, and that summer saw the release of maxi-single Genocide Streaming, which was followed by another maxi-single, Starlight Serenade, in October.

2009 opened with a promising start as the group released their first mini-album, -SIXTH SENSE-, this April. On July 5th they had their first one-man of the year, orbit SIXTH SENSE, at Shibuya BOXX. But that night to the dismay of their growing fan base, the group announced their decision to disband. They played their last live, Bergerac Last Oneman [Good bye.] at Meguro Rock May Kan on September 12th.
