The veteran-band ODBZ, also known as ODD-BOWZ, started officially on the first of April, 1984 in Nagasaki. In kanji, their name means 'bad boys' in the dialect of Nagasaki. Very little is known about their career before 1989. In June of that year they released their first major mini-album Dirty market on the major label Toshiba/EMI, their first full album Crack following a few months later.

As of 1995, the band had released five albums on Toshiba/EMI as well as seven singles. For the release of their sixth album Birth, Odd-Bowz left Toshiba/EMI and started their own independent company named L.S.D Records, from which they released their albums from then on. The band simultaneously released music through Kittie Enterprise (which would go through several name changes later).
1995 was also the year in which their current line-up was established: Yoshito Nakamura (vocalst, guitar & mouth harp), Hideaki Imai (guitar & vocals), Jun Hashimoto (bass & chorus) and Hidehisa Kitani (drums).

In the following years the quartet worked continuously on new songs and sometimes even released two albums per year. ODBZ managed to find enough time outside of the studio for countless concerts. In the previous and following years these four musicians have played countless performances covering four hours straight and about 40 songs, an achievement that one might not expect, considering their now not-so-young age!

In the summer of 2007 the band will release a new album, which will be their 18th in the year of their 23rd anniversary.
