TarO&JirO

In 2000, as they were respectively only 13 and 10 years old, TarO and JirO began their career as musicians in Tokyo.

After nearly a decade of activity in Japan, it was in 2009 that the duo took a 180 degree turn, flying to Europe where they began to play in the street in London before playing on a weekly basis in a popular bar in town. They attracted regular fans and also used this opportunity to improve their English, composing new songs as well in their newly learned language.

In 2010, the duo went back to Japan, taking a lot of their new British influences with them. After recording their first album during summer, it dropped in stores nationwide in October.

In February 2011, TarO&JirO was invited to play at Japan Expo Sud, a south version of the famous French convention. Prior to their trip, they released a new album. Throughout the rest of the year they played at various venues until they hit the stage of Paris' Japan Expo in July, where a larger crowd waited for them.

As we ring in the new year, fans are anxiously awaiting to see what TarO&JirO will bring next.
