The story of the formation of 3+3 THREE PLUS THREE was one of fate and chance, and how three musician's paths crossed, which changed their lives.

mimie began singing at the age of 14 with an international children's choir. She eventually became a professional choir singer and traveled the world on tours throughout the Soviet Union, USA and the European continent to promote world peace. In 1996, she returned to Japan to continue her career and began working for big record labels such as Universal, WB and Sony. By 1999, she formed MIMI.

She later became a voice trainer (i.e. singing teacher), renowned for her work with J, Hotei Tomoyasu, Namie Amuro and many more. This led her to work on English translations for J, acid android, Cherry Filter, Kinki Kids and others.

ban had gained her own fan base and is recognized as a talented rock guitarist. At a young age, she began playing for a major heavy metal act, Orange Kandy, and embarked on tours throughout Japan and the USA. In 2001, she participated on Youjeen's debut album, produced by J.

Kaoru OOSHIMA, was the oldest of the bunch, beginning his career in 1989 with BELLS, whom he released four albums with. He later joined MITOHANNANOSUKE AND THE ELEKAMANIA and released two albums with them. Eventually, he joined ban's band, Orange Kandy, before helping famous artists such as Natchin and Igushi Kazuhiko as a session/studio drummer.

2005 marked the year that the three musicians came together and made the mutual decision to start a rock band. mimie chose the name 3+3 THREE PLUS THREE. They recruited bassist Hijime WATANABE and 3+3 THREE PLUS THREE was finally born. They released their first single, Lovely Day, in February 2006 and sold it during live shows only. Hijime left soon afterward, prior to the release of the 3+3 mini-album in March.

While the band seemed to only grow in popularity, they took a hiatus after some time and has had no activity since. Recently, mimie has joined a techno unit called Wild Smash as vocalist. She also has been writing songs for commercials for Taiwan's government and independent films. As a multi-talented musician, she has continued writing lyrics for many Japanese artists and as of fall of 2007 she's composed theme songs for Japanese drama TV shows.

It is unsure if 3+3 THREE PLUS THREE will ever return to the music scene, but one thing is for certain: they won't be forgotten by their fans.
