Vogus Image was started in April 2001, by Shoka, Tatsuya, Ikka and Haru. Throughout the four years of their existence, the line-up remained the same.

They performed for the first time in May and in September the young band released their first maxi-single: Capsule. Their popularity started to rise quickly and because of that they were able to perform their first one-man concert in January 2002. This year also saw several releases; various singles, a video and their first mini-album. They ended 2002 with a small one-man tour and launched into 2003 with the release of another video.

In 2003 the band was featured on several compilation albums and released another few singles. The band performed live various times too, on events with other bands from the visual kei scene as well as several one-man concerts again.

Vogus Image got the opportunity to participate in a tribute for the band BOOWY, however, in February 2004, bassist Ikka was hospitalized. They were forced to find a supporting bassist for the tribute concert to BOOWY on February 18th, and Heath, the famous former X JAPAN bassist, replaced Ikka.

In January 2004 they released the album Zettareido. It was their first complete album, and it was also a very interesting evolution of their style with the band taking on a slightly gentler and smoother sound.

In March 2005 the band announced on their official website that they would disband. The reason given were the well-known "musical differences", and they disbanded on May 31st after their last concert in the Ebisu Liquid room.

After the disbandment of Vogus Image, Sho-ka and Haru have formed the band Elm and so far there has been no sign of musical activities from the other members.
