After the bands SEX MACHINEGUNS and Λucifer disbanded in 2003, Noisy, Himawari and Yuki decided to form a new band different from anything they had ever done before. In the beginning of March 2004, DUSTAR-3 was formed.

Although the band had designated Noisy as the lead singer as well as bassist, to try something new it was decided that Himawari and Yuki would both sing as well. Starting with the band’s first three mini-album series titled "Dustar I, II, and III", each member were to sing the songs that they each had written.

As the band continued to release albums regularly, they started to perform in small live houses from Kawasaki to Nagoya, successfully building a reputation for their mixture of punk and hard rock.

Even though the band hadn’t even had their first anniversary yet, when December came, they released their first ‘Best of’ album, “PANTS NOT BEST”. Worried fans expressed concern at the release of the ‘best of’ album. Did this mean DUSTAR-3 was over?

As the new year started, fans were relieved as the band began a seven stop tour titled "Economic Pants Tour 2005" and announced that they were working on a new album, “Try Try Try”. This was to be their first full album. After it’s release on April 13th, the band embarked on the "Summer Pants Carnival 2005 Tour", selling out nearly every show.

In the fall and winter, the band went on to release two new mini-albums; "100%" and "200km/h", and their first live DVD, "PANT$ NOT DEAD “LOVE U DEADL¥” TOUR IN AUTUMN 2004" which kicked off their first new tour of the new year. "Economic Pants Tour 2006" was extremely successful, selling out at all eight stops.

During their tour, the band released their second live DVD, "SUMMER PANTS CARNIVAL 2005" in February. Going along with their success, Melty Chocolat was opened as the band’s official fan club, giving fans more insight behind the music.

April 2006 marked the band’s 6th mini album, "300ºC", followed by "Hachigatsu futsuka wa pantsu no hi" in August and rounding out the year in December with "Dustar-3 no ROCK n’ ROLL JAM".

This spring the band will be doing a nationwide tour celebrating their third year together.
