Abort Mastication’s activities started in October 2005. Originally drummer Kyosuke Nakano had wanted to make his own solo project, but decided to form a goregrindcore group instead. In January 2006, after several months filled with composing and recording music, vocalist Kazuho Kawakiami joined the band. After this, the band took the name Abort Mastication and started to drift towards death metal.

On February 3rd, 2006, guitarist Hajime Okuyama joined the band and, thanks to that, their first demo was released just three days afterwards. On the same day as the demo’s release, guitarist Tatsurou Kageyama officially became part of the band and bassist Takanori Kubo joined just a few days later. Unfortunately, just three months after the line-up of Abort Mastication finally became complete, Okuyama decided to leave the band. However, the four remaining members continued activities, releasing the maxi-single Teratogenic fetal fury which included the re-recording of one of the songs from their demo. Not long after the search for a new guitarist began, Hiroki Hiiro took the position. After this, Abort Mastication was able to continue its activities without changing their line-up again.

The year 2007 was very busy for the band. They took part in various events in Japan together with many well-known bands such as 324, Spacegrinder, Anatomia, Disconformity and Woundeep. In July, the mini-album Stabbed...Unknown Putridities, which they recorded with Patisserie, hit the stores. One of the songs included in this release was a cover of a song by the well-known American band, Disgorge. This year also saw the band's biggest event yet when they travelled to Europe to perform at the German festival Ludwigshafen Death Fest 2007 in October.

On August 16th, 2008 they released their first album ORGS, which turned out to be more aggressive and experimental than previous releases and showed the vocalist’s ability to growl. Abort Mastication's growing popularity meant that they were the most popular band to perform at Koiwa Deathfest festival which had been organized by their label, Bloodbath Record.

Unfortunately, not a lot of information regarding Abort Mastication has been available since 2009. We can only hope that Kyosuke has not decided to drop this project and that we’ll soon hear about the future plans of this band.
