Singer Megumi Miyoshi from the band Unshin has created a song to help bring awareness and support to Japan in the wake of the earthquake and tsunami.

The project is called Pray For Japan and is in association with Play For Japan and Japan Society. The song was recorded at Summerhill Studios in Suffolk, UK, which is on the site of Summerhill School, and many children performed on the recording, including some Japanese pupils. The song is available to download from iTunes and Amazon, with all proceeds being donated to the Japan Society Tohoku Earthquake Relief Fund.

The song's accompanying video was produced by University of East Anglia film-making student Anna Ramm and features people's personal messages of support for Japan. The video is available on YouTube here. In addition to this, a website was created by Charlie Ramm and Sam Horwood of onehundredrivers.com, a website design company in Norfolk. The website is a place where people can upload pictures of themselves with their own messages of support for Japan.

The project was recently featured on BBC Look East and this footage is also available on YouTube.
