Hirokazu 'Hip' Tanaka, one of the biggest names in old-school 8bit video game music, will release his new single on HearJapan a week before its official release date of December 16th.

'Hip' Tanaka is a big name in the video game world, as he has written music for "Metroid", "Kid Icarus", "Tetris", "Mother", "Donkey Kong" and "Mario Bros." to name just a few.

The single, Tanaka Hirokazu no Uta, is described as a playful and memorable tune, featuring 'Hip' Tanaka's vocals, along with a chorus of ten more 'Hip' Tanakas. It is full of retro blips and beats to satisfy the 8bit fans, as well as more traditional instruments such as piano to provide the main melody.
