SPARTA LOCALS Disbands

After eleven years together, rock band SPARTA LOCALS announced that they will disband following their one-man concert Last Dance wa anata ni, set to take place at SHIBUYA-AX on September 23rd. Though the reason for the disbandment is still unclear, the four members state that they will keep pursuing their activities in the future.

SPARTA LOCALS was formed in Fukuoka in 1999, releasing their debut album Kanashii miminari in April 2002. Their major debut, the album Second Fanfare, was released through Universal Music on the next year. Their latest releases include a single titled Mizu no you da, an album called Leecher and their first live DVD, Collage, sold at their concerts from April this year.
