On May 2nd and 3rd, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden's Sakura Matsuri will take place again. Various Japanese cultural activities will take place during this weekend, including performances of J-pop artists.
The up-and-coming singer Minami Kizuki from the Amami Islands will perform on May 2nd at 4:15pm. Her singing follows the distinct vocal style from the Ryukyu islands which can also be found with artists such as Hajime Chitose and Atari Kousuke.
Kawashima Ai, who also performed in the USA mere weeks ago, will perform at the festival. Her performance will start at 5:15pm on May 2nd.
