I love you Orchestra Swing Style, a jazzy acoustic version of instrumental rock band I love you Orchestra, will release its debut album on June 6th.

Titled MY LIFE AS BLUE, it will feature 11 tracks. They will all be covers of songs from the original band's releases.

This version of the band is a quartet consisting of I love you Orchestra bassist Yu Shiromizu, guitarist Tomoya "Jim" Nakahira, keyboardist Kenro and drummer Kazuhiko Maekawa. While they have been playing shows with this line-up since 2017 and have already distributed a few live-limited and digital-only releases, this will be I love you Orchestra Swing Style's first official CD release.

However, the "Swing Style" incarnation is far from the only version of I love you Orchestra that has been active this year. The original version released a cover album of children's songs titled KIDS SONGS FANCLUB in March. Another new version of the band called ilyons (I love you Orchestra Noise Style) also released its debut album Lantana digitally on the American label Wisteria Records in February. ilyons features the same line-up as I love you Orchestra SS, minus Maekawa, with Shiromizu manning the piano and Kenro on the synthesizer. As the name suggests, they play improvised noise music.
