Originally from Okinawa, HY is a popular indie group that consists of 5 members, Hideyuki Shinzato (Vocals/Rap/Guitar), Shun Naka (Drums/Rap/Chorus), Shinsuke Kyoda (Bass), Izumi Nakasone (Keyboards/Vocals/Chorus) and Yuhei Miyazato (Guitar/Chorus).
Their well-balanced mixture of rock, R&B, and hip-pop music continues to
appeal to their fans and attract new ones. For the first time in ORICON indies chart history, HY's album "Street Story" captured the number 1 position on the day it was released in 2003.
