The Captains are a group sounds rock band from Sendai, formed by the leaders or "captains," of various Sendai city bands, representing the flavor of the local rock scene. They draw strong influence from bands of the sixties and seventies, such as The Mops and The Carnabeats.

The group sports a unique and definitive look, wearing matching oriental military-dress uniforms. Although they have a nostalgic, retro sound, all songs are original The Captains tunes, scribed by vocalist and guitarist Kizuhiko.

The Captains consider themselves the "last group sounds" band and proudly carry on the tradition of their rock and roll forefathers.
