Gram∞Maria's image is a combination of gothic with the more old-school visual - long skirts, corsets, even kimonos. Their music style, however, is not easy to define. shi-no himself calls it simply 'shi-no rock'. It can be described as old-school visual kei or gothic visual, with the elements of melodic metal.
Their music is based on guitars and piano, which create a dark and melodic atmosphere. They have a really characteristic sound, but their music is not monotonous at all. A very important element in the creation of that atmosphere are the vocals. Also, the lyrics pay a major role - they're poetic, concerning mainly the meaning of life, ephemerality, emotions, fear of loneliness.
