ANTHEM are a heavy metal band from Tokyo. Through their long life span, the band achieved legendary status in the Japanese heavy metal scene. Rising during the birth of the Japanese heavy metal craze alongside legendary bands Vow Wow and LOUDNESS, they have become one of the most important and popular bands in the history of Japanese metal.

Their music is best described as traditional heavy/power style metal. Despite several lineup changes and hiatus periods over their long career, ANTHEM remains one of the most popular heavy metal bands in Japan.
