Asian Kung-Fu Generation is one of the biggest Japanese indie rock bands of the new millennium. The Asian Kung-Fu Generation style is to set emotional lyrics to aggressive indie rock music with a distinct punk edge.

As they have matured, however, their sound has naturally matured with them, taking on more influences from bands like Oasis and Manic Street Preachers. They can be compared to other Japanese bands such as The Back Horn, Art-School and Penpals.
