New Releases from Maaya Sakamoto

Singer Maaya Sakamoto will release two new singles and a new album in the upcoming months.

First of all, she will release the single Buddy on October 19th. This song is a collaboration with the band School Food Punishment and is being used as the opening theme to the TV anime series "Last Exile: Fam, the Silver Wing". It will be available in two versions, with one regular CD-only edition and a limited edition, which comes with a bonus CD featuring volume one of her concert held at Tokyo International Forum on June 3rd and 4th.

One week later, on October 26th, Sakamoto will release the single Okaerinasai, created by singer and composer Yumi Matsutoya, which is being used as the opening theme of the TV anime series "Tamayura ~hitotose~". The single will also feature a cover of HAPPY NEW YEAR by Matsutoya and will be available in a regular and limited edition. The limited edition will come with a bonus CD featuring volume two of Sakamoto's concert held at Tokyo International Forum on June 3rd and 4th.

Finally, the singer will release a new album on November 9th produced by composer Shin Kono. Although it is currently untitled, it is known that the album will contain nine songs and will be available in two editions. The limited edition will come with a bonus DVD featuring an eight-minute film starring Sakamoto herself. First press editions will come with a poster as a bonus.
