AKB48 at Asia Song Festival

The official website of the Asia Song Festival announced that idol girl group AKB48 will be participating as a Japanese representative in the seventh edition of the festival.

The first ASF was held in 2004 and Japan has had since several famous representatives such as GACKT, Ayumi Hamasaki, Arashi and V6. The upcoming Asia Song Festival will be held in Seoul on October 23rd and it is rumoured that only sixteen members of AKB48 will be performing.

In addition to this, AKB48 will release a new maxi-single on December 8th, which will include new songs and their instrumental versions. The single is called Beginner and will be released in three different editions. The regular edition will feature four songs, while the two limited editions (Type A and Type B) will contain three songs, their instrumental versions and a DVD.
