Akanishi Jin to withdraw from KAT-TUN

On July 16th, Johnny's boyband KAT-TUN started their tour KAT-TUN LIVE TOUR 2010 WORLD BIG TOUR at the Tokyo Dome without Akanishi Jin.

The president of Johnny’s Entertainment, Johnny Kitagawa, showed up at the concert to talk about Jin and said that there are plans for him to perform as a solo artist in the US next year. So that he can focus on these solo performances, there are currently no plans for Jin to return to KAT-TUN. However, the final decision on his official withdrawal from the group will be made after his solo US tour this autumn.

Kitagawa also stated that there is no need to worry about KAT-TUN disbanding.
