On July 11 at Tokyo Kokuritsu Yoyogi Kyoujou, it was announced that AKB48 Team K member Ono Erena will be graduating from the project in the near future.
Toward the conclusion of the performance entitled "Surprise wa arimasen", the announcement regarding Ono's graduation was made. However, precise details regarding Ono’s graduation date have yet to be announced and are expected to be reported in the upcoming weeks.
Ono stated that her forthcoming departure from AKB48 arose from her desire to study at an overseas facility and following discussions with producer Akimoto Yasushi and members of the AKB48 staff, Ono's graduation from the group was considered to be the best course of action.
Ono also stated that her studies will focus on her newfound desire to become an actress and requests that fans offer her their full support and offers her own thanks for their understanding regarding the situation.
