Visual rock band
Kagrra, is celebrating their tenth anniversary in 2010. For the occasion, the group has announced the release of two new singles and also the schedule of a new nationwide tour.
Kagrra, started as an indie group called
CROW in 1998, later changing its name to
Kagrra, after signing with popular visual kei label PS COMPANY in 2000. They made their major debut with the single
Urei with Columbia Music Entertainment in 2004. Since 2008, after releasing the album
Core, they have been signed with KING RECORDS.
The group has revealed the dates of two new concerts for the upcoming months in order to start a special project called
Kagrra, 10th Anniversary ~Hyakkiyakou~. The first one will take place at Shibuya O-WEST on March 3rd, the same date and livehouse where they held their first one-man concert back in 2001. The second is set to be held at Shibuya O-EAST on June 3rd, the same date the group performed its first concert, back in 2000 at Takadanobaba AREA.
Also in June, the band is to release a new single on the 16th, though further details are yet to be released. A second single will follow in August, which is the same month that they will embark on an eleven-date one-man tour called
Angya Hyakkiyakou ~kage~, which ends on September 18th at Nagano LIVE HOUSE J.
