It was recently announced that visual kei band gakidou were involved in a car accident on February 12th, at around 9:20am.
The band was on their way from Osaka to Nagoya for their next concert when the left rear tire burst. The driver was unable to control the car, which turned sideways, and Piyo and Shutaro were thrown from the car. Yohyu and Yuu only suffered minor injuries, while the other members had to have stitches. TOSSY's injuries were more serious, leaving him hospitalized, though reports state that his condition is not life threatening. A member of staff has also been hospitalized for the same reasons.
Tragically, it was announced that vocalist Piyo died instantly due to the impact to his head after being thrown out of the car. He was 28. The band thanks fans for their support over the last few days, and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
