Sonore, a label which specialises in experimental music from Japan, has organised Oorutaichi's first European tour. The tour will begin on November 3rd in France and will end a month later, taking him to the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden and Finland.
Oorutaichi began activities in 1999 and produced music inspired by Aphex Twin, The Doors and Reggae Dancehall. In his first album, YORI YOYO released in 2003, Oorutaichi offered a progressive music style, switching between folk, urban and electro.
During this tour, Oorutaichi will share the stage with some other Japanese artists who are on tour in Europe at the same time. Among them will be Yuichi Kishino, accompanied by pianist Yoko Miura, with his show called "La veuve moustachue" (the widow with a moustache). Clips and samples can be found on his Official MySpace.
On some other dates, Oorutaichi will be joined by experimental and electro artists LAKILAKI (also known as maho or Thaidisco) and shabushabu. Clips and samples can be found on both LAKILAKI and shabushabu's official MySpace pages.
