Glam Rock band Rama Amoeba will perform in Europe for the first time in November.
Rama Amoeba is an old school quartet, formed last autumn by leader Tsuneo Akima, an emblem of Japanese glam, thanks to his band Marchosias Vamps which was active between 1985 and 1996. Last July, Rama Amoeba releasedthe album Hello! End Of The World, which covered some of Marchosias Vamps' old songs. At the same time, the compilation Golden Age Of Glam Rock was released, where the band covered hit songs from David Bowie, New York Doll, T-Rex, Slade and more.
The band will accompany TOKYO DECADANCE for some of this tour, which will begin on November 10th in France. The band will also take part in the first international glam festival, Glamarama 2009, which will be held in Paris on November 11th with various glam and rock'n'roll bands from Sweden and Germany. The tour currently only has three official dates, though there are two more which are still to be confirmed.
