Popular singer
GACKT, who started his 10th anniversary celebrations this year with the releases of several singles, has announced a selection of other releases for the upcoming months in order to keep the commemorations going on.
First of all, the singer will release low-priced editions of all nine
PLATINUM BOX collections, which are annual releases including miscellaneous material split mainly into DVDs. These will come out on October 14th and will be followed by a live photobook on the 28th, which will feature, among other things, pictures from his most recent tour
Requiem et Reminiscence II and also from previous tours, focusing not only on the main cities of Japan, but also featuring material shot in Okinawa, Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Okayama.
The other four releases of this campaign, however, will be only available to his official fanclub Dears for now. First, there will be a new live DVD titled
VISUALIVE ARENA TOUR 2009 TOUR FINAL released on November 18th, featuring footage from the last concert of his latest tour, held at Saitama Super Arena on July 12th, as well as documentary footage and a different version of his single
GHOST, featuring drummer
JUN-JI (
BULL ZEICHEN 88, ex-
SIAM SHADE). A new single, currently untitled, will come out on the same day and will be used as the theme song for the third edition of the game series "Sengoku Basara".
December 2nd will see the release of a "perfect story book" called
REBORN. Featuring a hard cover and a special package, it will contain an original story about the
VISUALIVE tour, plus an additional CD featuring an original drama and 13 songs. Dears members will also get another CD including a preview and original version of
Flower, a photobook of the tour
Requiem et Reminiscence, an after-tour story and a special message from
GACKT.
Lastly, on Christmas' Eve,
GACKT will release the tenth edition of
PLATINUM BOX. Coming with a special package, the box will feature a sugoroku - a Japanese board game - called "GACKT Sugoroku", a darts competition between
GACKT and guitarist
YOU and more.
Further information about all the releases which are still lacking details, such as the untitled single, are expected to be announced soon, as well as plans to release all four of the last items of the campaign in shops around Japan.
