Sakai Yu, besides being a singer, is also a keyboardist, mixing soul, jazz, R&B and hip-hop in his music. He has so far released two albums, ZAMMANA (2006) and YU,SAKAI (2008), and collaborated with hip-hop singer KREVA and duo Maboroshi.
His debut single, Story, will contain the title track, its instrumental counterpart, the b-side Lullaby and a piano version of How Beautiful, all composed and arranged by Sakai himself. A live performance of How Beautiful, which features lyrics written by singers Toki Asako (ex-Cymbals) and Kawaguchi Daisuke, during the event YouTube LIVE TOKYO 2008, can be seen in the video below.
