DJ OZMA held a press conference on Thursday to announce that he is "retiring" at the end of this year. He claims that he has been on the decline and has reached his limits, but hopes to continue producing artists and creating music and would also like to travel.
Additionally, he introduced Seigo Maki, whom he named as the successor to the DJ OZMA name. It is unclear what role Maki, whom DJ OZMA met at a video rental store, will take on as the new DJ OZMA.
DJ OZMA last single, MASURAO, will be out on December 3rd. His final album, I LOVE PARTY PEOPLE 3, will be released on December 31st, and he will hold his farewell concert on December 13th at Yokohama Arena.
